I can appreciate it must have been a tough decision for you. Don't become a stranger. One of these days we will in person for dinner or something. Thanks for a wonderful listening and meeting place. Bless you in whatever future you choose.

Huh?

I must be out of it. Had no idea. Better check the main page!

All you have done will never be forgotten.

My suggestion for the poll - "Though it's just a memory some memories last forever" - Rush

Avian, thank you for everything. Most of us probably have no idea the energy and time it takes to run a station as well as you have done....the more seamless it appears to be, I'm sure the more you have put into it.

Also always appreciated the energy of Jim, Roger and everyone else who give so much of their own time..it's amazing to me.

You've created a wonderful place here. Always be proud. There's no place like it.

This isn't goodbye is it...so see you on the moon in a different capacity and thank you thank you for having a vision and sharing it with us all.

Big hugs,
mossy

Avian, what can be said of the real Man in the Moon

i was so caught off guard by this i hardly know where to begin, 'cept to say how very, very grateful i am that you started this site...i've been a listener for about 3yrs...signed on 2yrs ago and became an active participant last yr.

the joy of rememberances and the elation of discoveries in new sounds of this genre are too numerous to list. i have thoroughly enjoyed conversing with you and the fact that you've brought together lovers of this music from practically every continent is awesome.

your time and energy are much appreciated by us all and we know you won't dissappear into obcurity...that's just not possible...

cannot wait to see what your next web-incarnation is...whether that be listener or dj.

knowing you will fare well
very much affection & gratitude

I don't even know you (just a friendly digital presence), but farewell and good luck.
Progressive history is grateful for you, as we all are.

Avian emeritus

OK... I finally looked and found the "other thread" everyone has mentioned. Why is it under "music suggestions"?

I'll simply reiterate my sentiments from the other other thread that I begat.

Thank you again Avian for this station, for all the great music it plays and, mostly importantly, for the community it has embodied. We are separated by geographic distances and time zone differences but we come together as one here.

What!?!?!

Or how about Eagles' Hotel California: "you can check out any time you like but you can never leave".

Like Rick I only became aware of this reading the forum this morning. Between that time and now I have gone through all the classic stages when confronted with a great loss but I must admit that the acceptance stage is a bit elusive right now. You have done a marvelous thing here with Aural Moon Avian uniting so many people from various backgrounds through a common passion and appreciation of the art of music. My life is richer because of this and I have the added bonus of getting to know some of the nicest, most intelligent and compassionate people that I have ever "met". I thank you for all of this Avian and I wish you all the best on your life's journey.

To close I'd like to quote one of my favourite lyricists, Neil Peart, from The Fountain of Lamneth: "Life is just a candle, and a dream
must give it flame". Thanks for the dream Avian.
