Iona
Would love to see you guys add some Iona, the Celtic/Christian progressive rock band out of Ireland/UK. Would recommend you start with the double-live disc, "Heaven's Bright Sun."
Check them out at http://www.iona.uk.com Thanks |

Iona
Thanks. I'll give a listen. I tried Iona once before; regular contributor Yesspaz suggested them, but I found the cuts I heard on CDNow were, well, boring compared to Enya, for whom I'm already getting suggestions to remove from AM. I'd love to be wrong though, as a more progressive Enya (as I've heard Iona described) would be really cool. Stay tuned...

On "HBS," I'd pick out "Trilogy" or "Flight Of The Wild Goose."
Thanks for listening! |

Hey Junior Member!
My favs are Yes, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Oldfield, Rush, Gentle Giant, King's X, first 8 Journey albums, Stavesacre, and The Choir. The Next Level down would be At the Drive In, Don Caballero, Sunny Day Real Estate, the Beatles, Blue Man Group, Project 86, Stretch Arm Strong, The Prayer Chain, and good jazz. I'm a casual fan of dozens of other groups, including Iona. Not my fav of all time, but they're great. I saw Iona and Stavesacre, among many others, at OneFest. It was good stuff. Still clones?

Well, not *exact* clones but pretty close. Definitely
big on The Choir and others you mention, though not a particular fan of Oldfield. I'm big into Genesis (pre-Abacab, mainly) and Steve Hackett solo as well. |
