COTM - #219 - The Windmill and Lucifer Was
Help! I've fallen into a Fjord and I can't get out......
Yep, one last week in Norway this week. The country just has a lot of progressive rock talent there. So much more to share, but this will be the last episode for them. The bands I have lined up for you are probably not ones you know. First off I have The Windmill, a current band with released in 2010 and 2013. They have a nicely updated classic symphonic side while still including the folklore aspect so many of Norway's groups have, but with a slight edge. The 2nd band is Lucifer Was. This band was active in the early to mids 70's but never released any albums. A record label, Record Haven, heard about them. They were able to get the band to reform and record their material from that time. That started a chain of several lps released between 1997 to the present. I am bringing to you their debut album from 1997. With this broadcast it is an Aural Moon premiere. The album is entitled Underground and Beyond. I am going to finish up this week with a few bonus tracks. The group I will feature is Utopia Fields. Their two albums are really hard to find on anything but vinyl. I'll play one track from each of their albums. I hope you enjoy the show and get to know these really good groups, even if you haven't heard of them. See you at the end of the Fjord. dale
