Trivia question....

... which would probably be meaningless to most people but might appeal to those here...

What's the derivation of the band name "Matching Mole".

Hint, there's a French connection to the band members' earlier works.

Oui mon ami!

Robert Wyatt is an amazing bloke. His solo album "Rock bottom" contains some of the most wonderful music and is worthy of inclusion on AM I think. He was a founder member of the band Soft Machine and the name "Matching Mole" was a pun on the French title of William Burrough's novel "The Soft Machine" which was "La Machine Molle".

Yup, I believe they also shared amember or two with the original Soft Machine
