Three Crims?
curious as to the reasoning here? Although, it does make me want to listen to the Lizard album now...
Plus, you get to sneak in two more jazzy discs, huh?

Re: Three Crims?
Quote:
I love Lizard, but it sticks out like a sore thumb. Adrian's Inner Revolution is somewhat Crimson (how can it not be?!?), but still enough Adrian to stand well on its own. The key thing here is, if you'd never heard King Crimson and knew nothing of them, you wouldn't be able to connect these three albums just by hearing them. Hell, I can't connect them just by sound. |

You want it you got it the lizard King...
Never did like Lizard. Oh well.
Inner Revolution is a fun record. Like Mr. Music Head and Young Lions, it's just fun pop. Inner Revolution's only fault is that it's very loud. I can't explain it, not being a techie, it's just recorded too harshly. I saw a lot of Adrian Belew live around that time period, and even with the Bears people once. He's a lot more fun in that setting. |

i like the trio here...one of my fav King Crimson with my fave lead singer (Wetton, absolultely loved this line-up) followed by my most the most whimsical KC lyrist and caboosed by the only Lizard that had to grow on me.
i like it! much affection poda |

I own Starless and am enjoying the Adrian Belew album right now, which sounds very Beatleish with Jeff Lynne type production. I know Jeff probably didn't produce it but he should have. I am a huge King Crimson fan and have never heard Lizard. So looking forward to hearing it. Keep up the good music.

3 kings!
Well. A good line up
Starles is in my opinion Crimson at it's most dark 70's best The Belew is a new one to me. Quality pop that bites. Lizard is Crimson in a romantic mood. I Love the foggy feeling of that record. Lots of intresting ideas on the title track. It's one of the better Side long tracks there was. Very intresting indeed! |
