I was supposed to hear back from my friend last night but he must have gotten involved in WOW

I got lucky last year - if there are I will get one, if not, I'll stay outside of the main drag. I'd give them a ring when you can.....I probably won't call until later in the week...

One month, 21 days and some hours to go, I'll be there. Who else will be in this year's Moon photo?

Re: Rites of Spring Festival - ROSfest (2008)

Just had a Facebook message from George.

Lazuli have had to pull out at the last minute but at VERY short notice Godspeed You! Black Emperor have agreed to get back together again for a one off gig performing the whole of the "Skinny Fists" album.

GY!BE's spokesperson commented:

"This is something the band have wanted to do for ages. The idea was first mooted on January 4th this year but it wasn't until George contacted us with the news about the withdrawal of Lazuli that we decided it was a REALLY feasible project. We hope that the ROSfesters will be taken in by the news and enjoy it as much as we will."

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!

Re: Rites of Spring Festival - ROSfest (2008)

Well when they play I'll take a break and go for a walk.

GY!BE is a band that is too much effort to listen to.

However Vax, I don't think it will bring down the mighty ROS.

Re: Rites of Spring Festival - ROSfest (2008)

OK Peeps...I'll own up. It WAS a feeble attempt at an April Fool.

I thought the date January 4th (1/4) in US format and the "We hope that the ROSfesters will be taken in by the news" would have given it away.

Sorry!!!!

Re: Rites of Spring Festival - ROSfest (2008)

Whew! That would have had them replacing an act that is alloted 2 hours 15 minutes. Long enough to find a sharp object and end the experience.

Nice one Keithie.

Good one KW. I had a feeling you might be having a go at some humor for April 1st. But then again I'm on that mailing list too.
