COTM - #124 - Vangelis

Hello prog fans.

This week of moving and unpacking and unpacking and unpacking has left me tired and a little spacy. So what goes much better with that than some spacing synthesizer kind of music.

There are many wonderful experts in this, K. Emerson, W. Carlos, Larry Fast, Eric Norlander, R. Wakeman, to just name a small few. One of the earlier pioneers of synth-driven music was Vangelis. We are going to visit three of his albums this week - Earth (1973), Oceanic (1996), and Spiral (1977).

We jump about in his discography to show where he's come from, gone, and back again. And there's a touch of theme to the album choices. All of this was based on a suggestion from a certain laboratory north of the border. (Thanks MQ).

I do hope you enjoy this wide breadth of Vangelis' talents.
