Dynamic compression at Aural Moon?

Hi,

since the new server is online there is some audio processing noticable at Aural Moon.

Dynamic compression is used to give the sound more punch.
But it reduces the dynamic expression of the original recordings.
Clearly said: expression is lost.

In older vinyl recordings you can hear that the current dynamic compression dramatically rises the background noise during soft passages.

In my opinion any kind of audio processing reduces the quality of the broadcasted. Once mixed into the signal you can never get out the FX again.
There are a lot of nice winamp plugins that can do audio processings at the user side if wanted.

Conclusion:
As far as I understand dynamic compression has been switched on with the default settings of the new server. It should be possible to turn it off as well.

Thanks for the nice music selection at Aural Moon.
