COTM - # 198 - Tribute to Chris Rainbow & Francesco Di Giagamo

COTM - # 198 - Tribute to Chris Rainbow & Francesco Di Giagamo

This week I am paying a tribute to the recently deceased Chris Rainbow (Christopher James Harley), the Scottish singer best know for his solo work in the 70's and 80's and also for his collaborations with groups such as Camel and Alan Parson's project. You may not recognize the name, but the voice will be familiar. I will play Camel's 1984 release Stationary Traveler on which he was the lead singer on most of the tracks. Of particular note is the last track Long Goodbyes.

I am also paying a tribute to Banco's Francesco Di Giagamo, who passed in an auto accident almost a year ago. I am basically replaying my earlier tribute from Feature #145. The album is En Concierto, May 1999, Mexico City.

I hope you enjoy the show and remember our lost talents.

D'oh! I'll have my typing lacky flailed for this! This is outrageous, I say. Outrageous.

And If I pronounced it wrong the first time, I'm doing it again. I say Di Gia-Komo. Sorry.

Oh, and I guess you pronouce it Ah-loy.

LOL

thank you Laudio9. I appreciate your advice.

I hope everyone enjoys the show despite my pronunciations.
