I am actually quite a Maiden fan myself. AND I am NOT into much metal! But that twin guitar attack, Bruce's amazing vocals, and those driving basslines are undeniably brilliant to these ears!

Iron Maiden was the first band I ever saw - it would have been about May 1980 and Paul Di'Anno was singing with them. It was a great gig - hot, sweaty and very, very loud.

I can't say that I'm really into then now, but they do have their odd proggy moment.
