R & R - I retired from the St. Petersburg Times as Senior Electronics Technician (21 years of service, only 48 yrs old) in Florida and my wife and I bought a country store in TN. Moved to the mountains (own 100 acres). I LOVE it here. Give me the Salem Hill gig dates.

Here's the info: The last one was in a local church, and the party on Saturday is at Carl Groves' house...maybe SH weekend three will be on 100 acres!

Sounds great. I've got Progday to get through first...

It's the right price too!

I've actually considered bying some Gaye and perhaps other Motown artists in the future. Also at least a little bit of Sam Cooke...

In addition, I need to explore some good funk, of course.

Well, there is a lot of good Funk that has just been reissued. One group that stands out in my collection is Sly and The Family Stone. I listen to them all the time. Their whole library was just reissued.

Re: What CD's Are you Playing RIght Now? Top 5

Aaron Copland - Symphony #3
The Gourishankar-2nd Hands
The Who-A Quick One
The Who-The Who Sell Out
Elton John-Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

I know there's not a lot of prog as such (apart from 2nd Hands) in there but there are some prog feels to tracks on all the other albums (even the Copland as the 4th Movement quotes from his "Fanfare for the Common Man" and we all know what ELP did with that )
