July 18 & 19 - Ambient Domain

So much for keeping away completely from Crimson for the last two months . . .

On this show we will explore the impact of ambient music, moving from its use as musical treatment, musical voice, and central purpose.

I. Heaven & Hell (Vangelis) 1975

Heaven and Hell, Pt. 1 (Vangelis) 21:58
So Long Ago, So Clear (Anderson, Vangelis) 4:58
Heaven and Hell, Pt. 2 (Vangelis) 21:16
II. Radio-Activity (Kraftwerk) 1975

Geiger Counter 1:04
Radioactivity 6:44
Radioland 5:53
Airwaves 4:53
Intermission :15
News 1:13
The Voice of Energy :54
Antenna Hutter, Schneider, Schult 3:45
Radio Stars 3:38
Uranium 1:24
Transistor 2:15
Ohm Sweet Ohm 5:40
III. The Equatorial Stars (Fripp & Eno) 2004

MEISSA 8:08
LYRA 7:45
TARAZED 5:03
LUPUS 5:09
ANKAA 7:01
ALTAIR 5:11
TEREBELLUM 9:40
Oh!

Oh!, also, btw,

when I saw the title to this thread, I thought, "YES! Avian is starting his ambient show!" Then I click on it and saw it was Extended Play. Heh. I guess you're teasing his show, right there Texan?

Yeah, maybe so. Not exactly my intention, but I could see that.

Also, I guess you can call me a Texan (even though I'd rather be thought of as from Louisiana), but thank God I can't be called an Aggie.

Tommy

I've got a lot of friends from Lousiana. Seems like a nice place. And I have a friend who is an Aggie for life. She has over 200 Aggie related propoganda, uh..., I mean parephenalia..., in her living room and kitchen. I'm not kidding. We counted one night. It's freaky. Cushins, shot-glasses, throw-rugs, cola-can huggies, rugs, wall hanings.... I mean, I have a Mississippi State blanket and two mugs, but that's it. Those Aggies are seriously hard-core. Scary.

I've worked with Damers and Aggies, and they all scare the crap outta me. Cold shiver down my spine.
