Repeat request week

Hello,

From now on in weeks where I will be repeating a show I will allow people to make requests. If nobody makes a request in a given week I will just pick one at random, but since every single stinking one of my past programs (112 in all) is sitting on Aural Moon's hard drive or my own, I figure why not give people a chance to hear some obscure band they might have missed the first time it aired (or in the case of Slovenia, the first 15 or 20).

So, here's how it works... ALL my past shows can be seen here:

http://toib.net/cgi-bin/playlists.cgi?ps

If there is a particular show you want to hear, reply in this thread and say so. You can list as many countries as you want. Each time I do a repeat (there's one in two days!!!) I will consult the list. You get to hear the music you want, I feel like less of a jerk for bailing that week, everyone wins!

So take a peek at the link and drive the show...

Regards,
Sean

You guys need to understand and appreciate what a resource Sean is. This guy knows more about prog than me, and/or is more obsessive/compulsive about researching it, so ask him questions, listen to his show. Trust me on this...

I know that Jim. I've listened to many of his shows.

I'm just trying to be nice.

Sean you

I also agree Jim. PS is one of my favorite shows. I even have started a very pale imitation by exploring the library based on country pages on Synphonic. That's how I discovered I like Japan, South America, and Scandinavia. Maybe in 50 years or so I could do 1/2 the show Sean does

Re: Repeat request week

OK, looks like it will be Japan Part 2 tonight (assuming I can get it uploaded in time).

Don't worry about whether there is enough positive feedback, I realize there are people who like the show and some who don't. I was pleasantly surprised by the poll feedback, which I checked the other day. The main reason I haven't done shows for a while is time. I am hoping the switch to 90 minutes will make it easier.

Re: Repeat request week

I got stuck working today and didn't have time to prep a new show, so I am replaying Argentina part 4, which originally aired in June 2005. Mr. Magoo I hope you're around

This Friday I will be replaying last week's show, which I forgot to replay... last week!

USA takes all of the great music from around the globe and calls it our own and changes the name. Sort of like soccer
