In my case is mainly symphonic, but also like other sub-genres like Classical Progressive, Fusion, Canterbury and Neo Prog.

The only one I could never understand is Rock in Oposition (Henry Cow for example).

Although I never undertood the sub-categories of prog-rock (to quote a fellow listener ofrom another thread discussing this topic "when I hear it I know that it is prog"), I think that my list, in order of preference, is:

Classical Progressive
neo-prog
symphonic
ambient
early British
Fusion
Experimental
electronic.

The order of these changes over time, but now it is:

1) Complex prog/fusion, (King Crimson, Area, Van der Graaf Generator, Miriodor, Akinetón Retard).

2) Canterbury Scene (Caravan, Gong, Soft Machine) and folk/blues prog (Fairport Convention, Jethro Tull)

3) Symphonic (Renaissance, Early 70s Genesis, mid-70s Camel, P.F.M, Celeste)

4) German "Kraut" (Faust, Cluster, Can)

Sorry Roger, the exact page for Sub-Genres is: http://www.gepr.net/gepr_styles.html

My connection is too slow and sometimes the page appears before the correct adress.

My favorite brand is defenetely progressive symphonic of the '70.

More and more I listen to new stuff from you, it doesn't change!

Genesis being my favorite band, at least when I was young, but now I also like "new" things like Banco del mutuo soccorse, Schicke, Führs & Fröhling, Camel, Triumverat, Marconi, Anglagard (which is my best so far from this list).

Thank to you to make discover these great bands!!!!

see you...
