almost any track of the welsh band MAN ( Banana is a good example)
lot of Wishbona Ash tracks ( the king will come, Phoenix, ..) Live Golden Earing tracks like Mad love, Eight miles high, Candy's going bad |

Obviously I have a huge list of non-prog great guitar songs, but won't mention them so as not to spoil. One thing I'll say is I'm not necessarily looking for "Hey, watch this solo" type songs. Killer rhythm tracks make for great guitar songs too. For example, this song. So keep piling up your guitar songs, but think outside the "amazing solo" category too.
