COTM - For Clarence - Album/Artist Feature #12
Greetings Moonfolke.
Today we will pay homage to Clarence Clemons, a renowned Saxophonist who passed recently (June 14) from complications from a stroke he suffered several days prior. To honor him I am featuring several groups that feature the saxophone. Up first is The Tangent from their debut album The Music that Died Alone. This is followed by Soft Machine of the Canterbury School of prog and jazz/fusion. We will hear Fourth, their last album with Robert Wyatt, who went on from here to form Matching Mole. This well be followed by several single tracks from Pink Floyd, who also has some really hot tracks that feature great Sax. And we know there ain't much better than great Sax. I hope you enjoy today's show and remembrance of Clarence Clemons. Play on Big Man. Dale
