Prog on-line stores

Has anyone bought any CDs from the Kinesis on-line store? I just stumbled across them and figured it wouldn't hurt to ask whether anyone's had any good or bad experiences with them.

Their selection certainly seems good, as they have a few items I haven't seen available elsewhere in the US before.

Kinesis is the only prog store on the Web I've found whose selection rivals that of The Laser's Edge. Are there any others around which I haven't yet found?

Weeeeeelllllll.......

I haven't had any trouble using MusicStack http://www.musicstack.com/

or

Gemm http://www8.gemm.com/c/index.cgi?sid...1146&key=58437

I've also used Amazon a lot without much trouble (I did order a record for Spaz once that never turned up but that was from a seller advertising through Amazon and not Amazon themselves.....he has now been removed from their list) so you could try them too.

I have bought stuff through Kinesis as well and have found them to be reliable and helpful.

Hey Mike....

I didn't know Kinesis was in Maryland. Interesting....

Greg Walker at Syn-Phonic has been a pleasure to order from.

My friend Chris Lamka @ Of Sound Mind is also a fine resource. I do what I can to support him, and he does what he can to lighten my wallet.

MORE CD"SSSSSSSSSSS!

M, What I'm looking for is a site with imports at reasonable prices. I've wanted WAKEMAN's ..OUT THERE .., MARBLES 2CD version, roland Orzabal's solo CD, ETC. but all are $35. from overseas. I won't pay that for a 1cent disc in a 3 cent box.
In looking up these in your new 2 sites...Nothing
However, EUREKA !! Thank you KEITH WAYE for that Musicstack Link!! They seem to find a variety of EVERYTHING at many places.
This tread got ME what I'm looking for...Thanx Mike & Keith !

I have bought several cds from these guys and I can highly recommend them.

And I have bought one cd from these guys. Recieved one cd fine. The other one was out of stock and they didn't tell me until I reordered a second time.

I've ordered a lot of stuff for Aural Moon from Kinesis and they are a quality outfit.

Synphonic is also good, as is Laser's Edge.

For standard rock fare (i.e. Roland Orzabl) try cduniverse - best prices and good service.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys! ZNR (mentioned by termin8r) looks especially promising.

Jim: What's the URL for Symphonic?

Make sure you spell it "Syn" instead of "Sym"......

The best part about ZNR is after you've made a purchase, they will clue you into exclusive sales for past buyers. Usually 10% off. I also seem to think maybe a discount on shipping too.

I placed orders with both ZNR and Kinesis late last week. ZNR's order has already arrived - that was fast! Very nice customer service, too, and a nifty technological back-end to their Web site which makes browsing easy.

The Kinesis order isn't here yet, but it's hardly late so I'm not worried.

If anyone's interested in the band Karnataka, ZNR has their first two albums available (unless I bought the last copies!). Their eponymous first album is out-of-print and even the band no longer has it for sale. (Sadly, I understand the band broke up late last year.)

Glad you found ZNR useful. I have had nothing but praise with their customer service.
