Re: No show this week
Pardon...I'm afraid ONLY I can't read the atmosphere...???
Anyway... I bought Matthew Parmenter's album "Astray" that you have recommended on your show before. Wooo...this album is beyond expression for me. Thanks Rick.

Re: No show this week
I don't know why either.
It's not your birthday, I don't think there are any prog fests, disc golf championships?, bowling ditto?, not Thanksgiving yet so you can't be going away, too much work work? (that's never stopped you), puter in for repair? (you'd find a way), it's not taxtime yet, and you remembered to turn your clock back. Have you gone in for a "procedure"? Really...no idea.

Re: No show this week
You guys are funny.
I left Saturday morning for Cleveland, drove in torrential rain but very rapidly getting there by 5PM. Had a great dinner with some friends, including Vic and Bobbi from Rare Blend. Sunday I picked up my friend in Lorain OH and went to Detroit to see the Ryan Parmenter/Matthew Parmenter/Discipline show. We were able to find a TV to watch the Ravens get hammered by the Giants, but the rest of the weekend was fun. I wanted to call jtmickinley but ran out of time - and I passed by Pittsburgh and was considering seeing Robyn Hitchcock there but I needed to get home. There is so much to do here tomorrow, and a show last week would have been too much. I have one on tap for this week though... Name dropping a bit, I had a wonderful evening with the Disicipline gang, and Mike from Orion, Steve Sly from Progday, Luis, Tim, etc etc. This was my last foray travelling until March - the drive today was interesting. Detroit to Cleveland, where my wipers f'd up on the Interstate - it snowed all the way home...spent an hour getting that fixed (the mechanic was going to charge me double for being from Balitmore lol). Then to home...I drove basicall from Detroit to Baltimore from 10 AM to 8:30 PM with about two and a half hours of stops (half of the stops for the wipers). And I'm wiped out - but again too much fun. Discipline was incredible, best I've seen, and Matthew's set was even more dynamic than his Nearfest spotlight. He was downright scary emotionally on some songs. And with Ryan, there's too much talent in that Parmenter family. Thanks for your opinions about my whereabouts Last edited by Rick and Roll : 11-17-2008 at 08:48 PM. |

Now I listen to Matthew's album again and again. The more I listen to the album, the more attractive for me the album is.
