Re: How many CDs/Recordings Have Your Purchased?

The number of CDs purchased as a result of listening to Aural Moon now tops 250. A few have been to replace worn out vinyl copies and a few to get Bonus tracks.

Now that I'm out of work again until March 2007 I may slow down. That and I don't want divorce lawyers to benefit from my love of Music.

Re: How many CDs/Recordings Have Your Purchased?

I just did a count for albums released in 2006 - I've bought 67 so far and all are due to AM. So there'd be no divorce lawyer as the money has been spent......

Re: How many CDs/Recordings Have Your Purchased?

Thanks to recommendations from KW and RickandRoll, I just bought Pendagron's, Masquerade Overture and Salem Hill's, Mimi's Magic Moment. After sampling them I'm particularly interested in Salem Hill, which somehow reminds me of Gentle Giant, which is a rare quality. Thanks for the rcommendations. Paw

I'm a bit mad at Salem Hill. Carl Groves, the driving force in the band, is having a couple over to visit in his Tennesee home the weekend I was going to visit the couple (I was to stop on the way back at their place in Virginia, as I was returning to Maryland, from Florida)...got all that!

Seriously, "Be" is even a better CD, and from a lyrical standpoint, you will like "Robbery of Murder".

Re: How many CDs/Recordings Have Your Purchased?

Just bought 2 more because of my renewed interest in prog. spurred on by the Aural Moon experience. Bought a Gentle Giant DVD called "Giant on the Box". It's old TV shows of concerts and interviews. German, American, and
Italian TV from the early 70's. I never saw them live so this is a real treat for me. Also Bought Starcastle's new one, "Song of Times". Had heard about them but owned no music. It's good. I thought it only a yes clone at first, but they sound pretty proficient and the lyrics with some depth. By the way this thread is a great way of proving Aural Moons worth to artists and record sellers. For what it's worth. And how many CD's do we own, tapes, and LP's too, that we were forced to replace because of new technology? Enjoying the moon -pawpoet

Re: How many CDs/Recordings Have Your Purchased?

350 purchases now....the latest arrival was Under the Sun's eponymous first album heard on AM the other night. I have another 10 in the post as I type so Pawpoet is right. That's 360 CDs that wouldn't have been purchased if it wasn't for Internet radio. Maybe the "powers that be" need to look at statistics like that before going off into one.

Since I started listening to the Moon, I have purchased over 50 CDs. And.. booked trips to RosFest and NearFest 2008! Not to mention all the new shows I now look for in my area.

Re: How many CDs/Recordings Have Your Purchased?

Big Big Train's collection, TFK, Guy Manning and all the CDs purchased at SEfest etc. take me over the 400 mark now........authorities take note, Internet Radio helps artists not hinders them.

At last I can get the Mugen album.

Ooo, Moon made me buy lots of CD ('bout a hundred CDs)...
Of course, I enjoy them.

Harmonium CD has come right now.

I've not counted my CDs on Moon seriously, but almost everyday some of CDs arrives to me.

Re: How many CDs/Recordings Have Your Purchased?

10+??? Are you kidding? I'd say I've bought upwards of 100 albums since tunning into the moon. I owe alot of listening enjoyment to listening to RQ's of fellow moonies (Bmitra is on my wavelength) not to mention The automation system. Too many great bands and too little cash!
Amazon.com loves me. The Moon even turned me onto the festival thing. NEARfest next month!

The Moon gives, The Moon is great indeed.

With my habit, I'm getting anywhere from 3-10 per week. Who needs to eat. It's overrated.
