Regarding the Lermontov, I was curious about the song titles. Tuns out the were named for birth years of his family members: grandfather, grandmother, mother, father, himself, his sister. In that order.

Now I wonder whether the style of the songs were themed to the individuals, but I'd need to listen again for clues.
