Alphonse Muzon RIP

I am very sad to learn of the passing of legendary drummer Alphonse Mouzon. A hugely-influential percussive force from his days with Weather Report and Larry Coryell's Eleventh House, to a fruitful solo career, to his work with Jeff Beck, Santana, Patrick Moraz, and so many others.

Jazz drummer Alphonse Mouzon, after a battle with Neuroendocrine Carcinoma, a rare form of cancer. He was 68. It was just over two months ago that Mouzon was informed of the severity of his illness, and was hospitalized.
