COTM - #86 - John Klemmer & Seventh Wave
Greeting my friends.
Happy New Year. I've got a couple new (to the moon and perhaps you) albums again today. They are from John Klemmer, known for his talents on the Saxophone. This is one of his early solo efforts from 1972 entitled Waterfalls. This is before his more "New Age" style or smooth Jazz, so it is more like fusion. I think you'll find it pleasing. The 2nd album for today will be from Seventh Wave. They are a duo, also from the early 70's and they played all the instruments (and there is quite a list for each of them on the album). I find them to be a mixture of Michael Oldfield, Nektar, Klatuu, and 10cc. Something a little different. I hope you like it. The feature for the night is going to be a big surprise. It is perhaps not Prog, but certainly progressive. It honors the New Year as it was recorded live on on and around New Years Eve. It's not the original version of the album, but a later version that includes all of the set list from those shows. (hope I haven't given too much away.) Anyway, I think you'll enjoy rockin' out 2012 and bringing 2013 in with this album. See you in the Corner of the Mooniverse. Dale
