Levitation, The Verve, etc.

Greetings from the UK!

Great site chaps, although scanning through the playlist we've got a lot of the more obvious choices (good though they are to hear them all again). How about some of the more progressive, progressive bands of the last 10 years or so, the ones that have tried (fortunately without much success) to bring the term 'progressive' to a wider audience?

Levitation is the obvious choice although I guess most of you from the Big Country didn't come across them.

Levitation burned very bright, but for a criminally short period ... If anyone is interested there is a pretty good, but very old website at www.anyware.co.uk/levitation/index.html. Recommended albums are Coterie and Need for Not, while track highlights are Smile, Bedlam, It's Time, Nadine, Arcs of Light and Dew and Pieces of Mary. Oh and I guess you want to know how they sound? King Crimson in bed with Pink Floyd ...

More slightly mainstream requests would be for The Verve and Smashing Pumpkins (recommended 'out there' albums being Storm in Heaven and Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness respectively).

Well, what do you think?
