Daevid Allen saying farewell

Daevid Allen, founder of Gong is bidding farewell...he was diagnosed with terminal cancer and told he has six months to live...
His Nearfest performance was one I will never forget..he's a funny guy, never taking life too serious... Thanks Daevid....

Sad to read that. Daevid is / was always ahead of his times. Always in the future. Founder, mastermind and member of many bands. Soft Machine, Gong, to say some. I hope he doesn't suffer too much, if it's true it's a terminal disease and he's not able to get over. Great guy.

Dang it! i am so tired of the Big C taking one human after another under it's ever expanding cloak of death. I hope Daevid has as comfortable a transition as is possible and his family is able to come to terms as well. He lives on in his music...it fills us all
