Re: Moonies Meeting Moonies
I've said this before - There are many musicians that have listened to Aural Moon. Many of these both you and Jim have met. Example: Steve Katsikas and Rik Biagi from Little Atlas. Both were in the shout box during my show before, and many others such as Glenn McLaughlin and Dennis Mullin from Iluvatar have been on. And we've met them. Dave Kulju may be the latest.
Anton Roolaart was included as a "Moonie" on the vax list, so I guess Clive Nolan is fair game on the Jim list. This thread is wonderful for posting pics of listeners, telling little stories of meeting friends. But I just don't see the value in listing who we've met. I know no one wants to read a list of who I've met. that's just my opinion - nothing else intended. Last edited by Rick and Roll : 11-26-2007 at 07:04 AM. |

Re: Moonies Meeting Moonies
I can add two to my list of...well, zero.
I met OHD and his lovely wife Sallie for dinner and the Speechless show @ The Eyedrum. Also met ProgressiveEars, a.k.a. Sean from Speechless. |

Hello Fellow Moonfolke!!! In the end of May, Our friend VAXman came thru Hartford Ct. As I am 4 minutes off the Highway he decided to Stop By. The man was very gracious and a Pleasure to speak with. Im sure we could have faffed for hours as he is very easy to feel comfortable with. I thank You Brian for that stop and hope you consider another if your cruising by, and for all My Moonfriends, coming thru Hartford, PM me and we will have a nice visit...

Re: a perfect dozen
A forum posting just reminded me that I didn't put some of the festival promoters who are also moonies on my list.

Re: Moonies Meeting Moonies
How did I miss you?
You know, I think I looked back through the posts and saw your name on Jim's list and thought I had it on mine too. I missed Lamour too but this list corrects that oversight.

Re: Moonies Meeting Moonies
Greetings Moonies,
My family & I just got back from a 2 week trek through South Dakota. We camped in Custer State Park (west end of SD). While there we saw Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monuments - Mt Rushmore jpg. More amazing was the wildlife - they have a Buffalo herd (about 1500 strong) that live there. My daughter got some great photos - Buffalo jpg. Then we went to the eastern part of the state - to visit DeSmet and see a play about Laura Ingalls Wilder - and then over to Walnut Grove, MN for the same thing. Heading back to Texas, we stopped in Topeka and visited with Barry - aka Ramsgate - jpgs of Ted and Barry - Barry Ted at Barry's Home & at Lake Shannee. Also while there Barry & his lovely wife, Tanya, showed us around the Kansas state capitol building. Here is Barry in his natural enviroment - Barry Natural jpg - Barry is a wonderful photographer - and a natural teacher - he gave our daughter - who is very interested in photography - lots of great information and pointers about photography. We had a wonderful visit. If you are ever in Topeka - make sure you link up with Barry - aka Ramsgate - he is a GRACIOUS host! It's good to be back home!! Regards from Texas, Ted |

Re: Moonies Meeting Moonies
Last weekend, at the RTF show, my list of Moonies met increased after meeting dangerboy and his friend TJ. I am now up to 3.
Also, my son,who is 13, has requested to be registered on the Moon. He is 'Guitar Hero!'. He said he was ready to be a 'Moonie'. I guess since he has been to see all of the shows that I have seen over the past few years, except for Speechless and Gongzilla, he qualifies for a place on the Moon. It was nice meeting crib and his son. I was pretty jealous of him getting a chance to shake hands with DiMeola So, I'm up to 3 moonies now. Maybe after Prog Day I can add more to my list. |
