COTM - #207 - Guy LeBlanc Tribute (R.I.P.)

Hello my friends.

This week we celebrate and pay tribute to Keyboardist Guy LeBlanc. Sadly, at the age of 54, Guy succumbed to his battle with cancer this past week on April 27th.

Guy was a strong force in the resurgence of Progressive Rock during the late 90's and onward. He was the founder and heart of the group Nathan Mahl. Originally from Ontario he has spent a good bit of his time in Ottawa. The music of Nathan Mahl is decidedly Jazz Rock/Fusion mixed with Symphonic Prog. His solo career, however, was more of Crossover Prog.

Besides his decades with the on/off history of Nathan Mahl and his solo career, Guy spent three years in Camel which included being a part of recording A Nod and A Wink.

For the show I will be featuring parts of his two solo albums Subversia (1999) and All the Rage (2004). I will also debut a new addition to the Aural Moon archives in the form of Live at NEARfest 1999.

I hope you can join us. I know many of you will be at ROSfest, but perhaps you can catch the Monday rebroadcast.

See you on the Radio
