We are proud to announce our opening band..   Inner Ear Brigade. Inner Ear Brigade’s music stretches boundaries and sweeps genres.  Their music fits somewhere between jazz, experimental new music, art-rock, funk, and progressive rock. Utilizing the vintage sounds of a Hammond B3 organ, Fender Rhodes, and Moog synthesizer, vocals, vibes, and viola,  you may notice sounds that are all at once sweet and silly, riff-crazed, but deceptively free and simple.  We are inspired by the sounds of Sunra, Japanese prog duet ‘Ruins’, French epic proggers ‘Magma’ as well as a host of other  denizens of boundary pushing music.

We are pleased to announce Heliopolis will perform at the second annual NorCal Prog Festival. Formed in the fall of 2012, Heliopolis has played a string of acclaimed gigs on the West Coast ranging from Berkeley, CA to Mexicali, Mexico with stops in Los Angeles and Santa Monica along the way. " Everyone in this band loves playing live" says bassist Kerry Chicoine, "and performing with other like-minded artists is always a special event. We're very excited to be part of this." Heliopolis recorded tracks for their debut album "City of the Sun" in May of 2013 with producer/engineer John Prpich; "The plan

NorCalProg Festival is pleased to announce Moraine in their first Northern California appearance. Moraine is an omnivorous Seattle-based instrumental quintet led by guitarist Dennis Rea and featuring violinist Alicia DeJoie, woodwind player James DeJoie, bassist Kevin Millard, and drummer Tom Zgonc. With its several writers and full complement of ace instrumentalists arrayed in striking combination, Moraine has built a reputation as one of the most electrifying and original instrumental rock bands anywhere, winning over listeners around the globe with its unique amalgam of art rock, forward-thinking jazz, world music, and more.

NorCal Prog Festival is pleased to announce, "Erik Norlander and The Galactic Collective will perform at the NorCal Prog Festival on November 16, 2013 promoting Erik's two latest multi-disc releases, The Galactic Collective - Live in Gettysburg and The Galactic Collective - Definitive Edition, both available at www.thetank.com and fine prog rock retailers everywhere. The Galactic Collective is a re-imagining of Norlander's favorite instrumental songs written for his band Rocket Scientists, his chanteuse spouse Lana Lane and his many solo albums including Threshold, Into the Sunset, Music Machine and Seas of Orion.
