Explosions is a phenomenal band. They use a lot of 7 string and 8 string guitars with lower tunings, same range as a Chapman stick, and build these walls of sound. Their in the same general range as GYBE, Tortoise, Mogwai, etc., but they're cheerier than GYBE and Mogwai.
