Confused about Michael West

Until about 5 minutes ago, I had no idea that this guy existed.

What I DO know, however, is that the riff at the end of the song that just played , "Overture from Physical Love-Go" sounds exactly the same as "Catherine Parr" by Rick Wakeman from The Six Wives of Henry VIII.

What's going on here? Did I mishear something, or is there a story behind this?
