Black Night....

ok. I went into the station, made sure that the songs did not appear in the database. They do not.

Then I went to the search module, and hit "Black". All the Black tunes at the bottom of the search are duplicates. prior to a couple of months ago, I was copying songs for the playlist instead of pulling them down. This created a double entry. The search module is rife with duplicates from other shows.

However, the song will appear on the request list if it is marked with an "S". The four songs you mention do not fall into this category. They should not be on the rq list.

I'll check the rq list now.

what I found

I changed the status of "Fourteen Black Paintings". Do not know how to clear duplicates, but that tune is in there twice.

Again, any duplicates from my shows will not play anyway. The files are gone.

Here is an unnerving item I found:

When I first logged in, the search bar was on "Lamb". The Lamb is in the database FOUR times. First is by individual song. Second is by side. Third is by halves, and finally by the entire CD. The latter two are from Tommy's Extended play show.

The two Tommy entries have a status of "C". They should not appear on the request list. So although there are duplicate entries, the request list should be ok.

But, if they are changed to "S", they'll pop up on the list.

What is unnerving about it is that on at least three occasions, the entire Lamb played. That means it was queued up or the status was changed to "S" and was requested.

All can do is ensure my tunes don't duplicate. For the past two months, I have a procedure that does this. I erase all non-Moon tunes after play (from all possible hiding places) and simply remove any Moon songs from my folder.

Prior to that, this stuff may pop up. But there really isn't a song corresponding with my play, it's a phantom. Anyway, please continue to point out anything like this.

Just noticed when Emerson Lake and Powell track was playing that it is misspelled. It should be: Vacant Possession ...if indeed the word is Possession. Maybe it's supposed to be position... in whcih case, it's grossly mispelled! I have the CD but it is an oiginal pressing without this bonus track so I cannot verify it.

I don't have the bonus track either. Just looked it up on the web...you're correct.

The other bonus track is the "LocoMotion". Aaaahhhhh!

Cool Belgian Band : NOW LP Deep

Hi,
The track" Back to the silence" was mistakenly credited to Niacin.
In fact, this track was composed by a Belgian band named" NOW ", their original second LP's title was "Deep" ( as for Niacin, so the mistake). Issued year was 1992 on the Musea label.
If others Now's tunes are available ( I did not check it) on request , several mistakes are maybe present as well.
Cover image is false also of course.
Thanks
Mailo

Actually, it's only the cover that's wrong. When Spaz reads this he'll correct it...

misspeeeling

Yesterday a track from "Genesis - Live" played a track called "Return of the Giant Hogweeed (". That's an extra E. The Letter _ called, he wants it back.

The ( at the end of the title is probably due to ID3v1 tag truncation. Otherwise, it's just a simple typo...

Then again, when they sing it, they do say "Hogweeed" don't they? Maybe it is correct after all.

Ozrics: the Cale of Aeolus

Should(n't) this piece be "the Cave of Aeolas" instead? That's what my own album from the Snapper Music label lists it as...

R.L, I found this while doing album covers. I think the box set you have labeled "A Tribute to Finnish Progressive" is fully, "A Tuonen Tytar - A Tribute to Finnish Progressive." See, http://www.mellowrecords.com/mmp29.html, the fifth one down.

Cool Riverside epic "the same river"

Hi,
Does anyone know what happened to this track? Was it fired from the request list or was it just an accident ?
regards
mailo

Hrm. Don't know what happened. It was the only song in that entire batch that went off list. I didn't do it, and if someone else did, drop me a line and let me know why. I'll yank it again if necessary.

Roger -Dot- Lee, starting to get caught up.

Hrm. Might well be. Jim has the cover and can say for sure. If it is, then it looks like we have a winner.

Nice site. I wonder if they have 100x100 covers as well.

FYI: Graafting error

the playlist titled selection "aerosol grey machine" is NOT aerosol grey machine...it's "running back"...i believe this was noted before...but none the less it's here again if it's been oversited.

Album cover

This cover is too cool not to be on the Moon.

The Magic Elf - Heavy Meddle

"Better Days Ahead" just played w/o a cover, so here it is if someone wants to plug it in.

Yabbut, maybe they WANTED it to be 6:54 of dead air. You know, like everyone with a rest or something.

*ahem*

OK, maybe not.
