Question Kingston wall

I've never heward any of their music, but judging by the Amazon review this is top notch Finnish (prog) rock. has anyone ever heard of it/know where I can hear more of it?

The CDs appear to be sold out and I've been wondering about this band for a long while now. If it's going to be aired, tonight I'll be out of my home. and unable to listen to internet radio. so I'll miss out on yet another opportunity to find out more about this band.

Would anyone like to comment on this band?
I like what I'm hearing now (Kalaban), BTW. and OT.

Methem, if you can find the thread, please do..I'll look too. We discussed these guys at length, and I bought all three CD's on a tip from methem. KW II is on the Moon, I've played it and sent it there.

Good band! By the way, another hard rock band i heard on the Interzone, "Toad", will be played on my show in the near future...

It's not: I think it's an album that contains Kingston Wall remixes made by various dance-music artists.

Thanks for the warning. I'll steer clear of it, then. It would be the exact opposite of what I was looking for, pleasant musicand apparently contains stuff that (is similar to the kind of stuff ) I hate wholeheartedly.

I haven't really heard anything from that particular album; need to check it sometimes. I recently bought Floating Seeds Remixed, the album that contains remixes made from some of the songs by Ozric Tentacles. There are a few interesting versions, but in general, the stuff doesn't come close to the atmosphere of the originals. Freakout Remixes might be something similar...

As for KW being pleasant... it's mostly rather noisy psychedelic rock, not classic prog. rock. So if you're looking for something Genesis-like, I don't think KW has much to offer for you. On the other hand, they've made some mellow songs as well, "Shine on Me" on the second album, for example.

I somehow knew using the abbreviation "KW" would lead to this sort of stuff sooner or later. Blah...

Yes, you probably are a nice chap. From what I've read/heard here, I have no reason to believe anything else.

I bought this remix album some time ago. It's indeed pretty bad, IMO -- not something I would recommend to people who like Kingston Wall for the rock aspect. Texas Faggott, a silly psytrance duo from Finland, does a sexy version of "We Cannot Move", the song that starts the second KW album, but that's pretty much it.
