The Healing Road - Timanfaya

Hi Folks, long time no see. ;-)

After working for one year on my next effort, the music is now mixed and mastered and the artwork is almost done. 9 guest musicians, professional mixing and mastering and a painter who provided some of his pictures for the booklet will make this effort a little more professional than my first small album.

Check http://web.mac.com/hphess and http://www.myspace.com/hphess for a project description in bad English, audio samples and more.

The album will be available in a few weeks as CD and also on iTunes and Rhapsody. If the artwork is finished I will upload the 12 page booklet for all those who will buy the tracks on iTunes / Rhapsody.

It's been hard work during the last 3 months. But it's been also a lot of fun.

Regards,
hans

Re: The Healing Road - Timanfaya

I have following the birth of Timanfaya from the first note and I know the demos without guest musicians. The result is overwhelming.
The first album has more epics, Timanfaya have balls!!!
With all the new mix and mastering experiences, HPH set up his work on a new level and it helps him to let out his musical visions.

Re: The Healing Road - Timanfaya

Well, well, well... the publication on iTunes went MUCH faster than they predicted. TIMANFAYA is already available at iTunes right now and should also be up at Rhapsody.

You can listen to other excerpts of the songs there than the ones I picked out and decide if you're interested.

Thanks a lot for all the nice words, I put a lot of work into this album so I am very happy that some people find it worth listening... ;-)

Hugs,
hans

Hans, in the 70's I lived in the Canaries and spent alot of time on Lanzarote. I'm looking forward to listening to the music.

Re: The Healing Road - Timanfaya

Mossy, the island is one of the strangest and most beautiful places I've ever been. Thanks to Cesar Manrique, it hasn't been completely destroyed by mass tourism. To those who don't know the island:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lanzarote

Each time I have been there I somehow had music in my head and kept it in mind. I'm glad that now, 7 years after my first stay there, I somehow made it to record this album "with a little help from my friends"... ;-)

Re: The Healing Road - Timanfaya

Today I got good news. The CDs are on their way and I will get them already in the next 2 or 3 days. Then one copy will go straight to Aural Moon.

Re: The Healing Road - Timanfaya

The Timanfaya-CDs have arrived today. The copy for Aural Moon is on it's way. For all those who are interested in downloading the album from iTunes or Rhapsody, here's the full booklet (PDF, 5,5 MB):

http://homepage.mac.com/hphess/.Public/booktim.pdf

For best viewing tell your Adobe Reader to show always 2 pages except for the cover page.

Thanks!

Re: The Healing Road - Timanfaya

Hans, I was loading the current show and noticed someone kindly dropped your music in my folder... but I will play it next week (have a show ready this week already). I was going to take some time off, but I'll at least stick around for another week to play your CD.
