I was paraphrasing, not quoting. I don't remember who it was, but someone in the shout box gave an "Oh great, we have Beastie Boys now. What's next.... blah blah blah." And then there's this:

So what's next? Primus?

Aw jeez, I probably shouldn't have asked that...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but that post sounded a little "what's next?" to me. So what if Primus is next? We "younger members" would probably be okay with that. Maybe it's my youth, but I'm like, mellow out and stuff, like, ok?

Jim, I'm officially requesting to see all of The Mix Up and The In Sound from Way Out on AM. 'Cause I'm young and hip like that, I s'pose.

Re: Beastly Noise

I'm going to recuse myself from further discussion here, and just float on the memory of a great Return to Forever show tonight.

After looking at this thread, and observing some of the commentary from this afternoon in shout, I'm not interested anymore in going back and forth about what anyone likes and what is prog.

Anyone who wants to private message me with any suggestions etc. for airplay is welcome. But I'm not wasting my time reading any more shouts about how you don't like something. It's negative, inefficient, and just not worth it.

I've not heard the Beastie Boys song, but I'm not going to categorically dismiss it out of hand, nor am I going to come into it with a preconceived notion.

It's one song. What a freaking waste of time.
