Not exactly recently - but yes.

I've heard music I like, here; dislike, find boring, find interesting, find adequate as background music and find phenomenally beautiful. Glass's 2 songs fall entirely outside those categories. They are agressively devoid of content and long purely and solely for the purpose of spending more time doing the same thing over.

For the record, I dislike his music. It's a bathroom break for me.

A "go to the store, buy a meal, eat it, take a bathroom break, take a bath, dry off, dry your hair, get dressed and it's still doing the exact same thing it was when you left for the store" break might be closer to the mark.

I think I let 15 minutes of it wash over me before the insidious banality of it finally drove me to distraction.

Frankly, I'm not one for criticizing things I don't like either. But sometimes a line get's crossed and my line was crossed when the unchanging brain curdling monotony passed the 15 minute barrier.
