Czech out the theme for this week... (Mar 17th)

Yes, let the barrage of lame jokes begin, because the theme for this week is prog from the old Czechoslovakia !

Don't miss this show, as that country had one of the most incredible scene from behind the Iron Curtain!

cheers,
Alex.

an old one

I remember wayching Wimbledon once, and they said after an Ivan Lendl loss, that he was a "bounced Czech".

Hope I can listen or I will have to take a "Rain Czech".

I'll be here all week, try the veal.

Had you in mind

I went to the King's X website and saw it - took me a half hour, the pic was too big. Everytime I reduced it, it cut Doug off. The pic had those two and a guy with a KFC bucket on his head, and it kept the buckey gut - ticking me off. Finally I rotated the picture and reduced.

What's weird is that most of the other neat Kx pics had someone in the band displaying the middle finger. Very uncharacteristic, if you ask me.

Can't wait for yours!

There's a Czech prog group I really admire. Blue Effect (Modry Efekt) - one of my favourite prog bands. I hope we'll hear them in Gnosis
There's a recent pop hit One-T feat. Cool-T - The magic key which has the main motive taken from Blue Effect's song "Ma Hra" (My Game) from 1971. It's absolutely brilliant instrumental track (I mean My Game, not The Magic Key ). Highly recommended!

Great! Ej pada... is from one of their best albums (if not the best) - Svitanie. Only 4 tracks but what an album! I also recommend Nova Synteza (there's Ma Hra on it). Hope to hear it someday in Gnosis. Greetings!
