Bonus tracks in prog albums

Dear all Moonies,

In progressive-rock albums, especially Japanese ones, there are some bonus tracks.
I believe the bonus tracks are not so good, or out of favor of the artist, or not suitable for the album.
Of course some of them are unexpectedly excellent, but I'm disappointed I couldn't meet such a good track.

So could you let me know about great bonus tracks for you?

Thanks.

Thanks Dark Side,

On Japanese Obi there is a mysterious(?) sentence about the album (the title, the contents, etc.), same as bonus tracks in the album sold in Japan.

You are welcome Damo...I've got a couple of CDs made in Japan...they are a little expensive but it worth the cost.

Re: Bonus tracks in prog albums

hello,Damo san. Please forgive the use of the translation function.
There is a person who says that it comes near to a thing that the bonus track is
collected and the composition of CD collapses, too.
A viewer today is rich. However, a fan at that time might be perplexed.
It is thought that the thing that I also hear the bonus track is happy though it
might be various.
I have CD of English lyrics of maxophone.
The bonus track is collected to this CD. It is very good. And, it is English lyrics. It is very
interesting.

Re: Bonus tracks in prog albums

Thanks, kazu.
I appreciate your comment.

Indeed the album having a lot of songs is some attractive, but I suggest the bonus tracks can't always serve us well
and sometimes they may break the atmosphere and the identity of the album, I'm afraid.
(Well, of course, Maxophone's English track is good. )
I think an album is same as a story. So storybreakers are not necessary for it.

P.S.
On last weekend, I went to Tokyo with my family and visited Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum
to enjoy "Vermeer and the Delft style". The exhibition was so terrific for us.

Re: Bonus tracks in prog albums

Hmm...as I consider, Japanese rock albums tend to have some bonus tracks.
I'm afraid some of Japanese may be charmed with the word "extra" or "bonus"...?
