You can give us music by sending me the CD - send me an e-mail so we can discuss. However, I have some Blood, Sweat & Tears, and while I like them, I don't consider them all that prog. So, before you send anything my way, let's talk about it so it's not a wasted effort.

I'd say any of Chicago's first seven records are much more of the AM style than BS&T. Now there's some kick ass music.

However, I don't think they're the style to be on this station either. And certainly, I wouldn't want to see a CD with some songs omitted (which is one of the very few complaints of mine of AM).

I agree with you on both counts, Rick. It was sad to see Chicago turn into a wussy pop band after their auspicious beginnings.

I agree totally. The same thing happened to the Moody Blues, and I suppose others. I even thought it was going to happen to Yes in the early 80s but, fortunately, they snapped out of it.

I guess these bands just get lazy and decide to try and make a quick buck.

The Moodies were part of that whole group (Queen, Styx, Yes, Kansas, etc.) that just ran out of good ideas. And like you say uzeb, the lure of $ was too strong.

Chicago was a different kind of band very blues/jazz. A combination of not being able to keep true to their form and Terry Kath shooting himself kept Chicago from keeping on.
